#day218 – enjoying Tupiza village life

We needed a little recovery break today. The altitude, the cold, another night in the bus…We have been a bit exhausted and just wanted to relax.

It looks like there’s no better place on earth than Tupiza. A tiny little village, from where we’re going to start out tour to the salt lake tomorrow. That’s why we are stranded here.

We had some little things to organise in advance (getting some cash and buying some toilet paper) and we were really thankful that everything is around the corner in Tupiza. Farmacy, market, bank, agency, restaurants. The longest you have to walk from one point to another is five minutes. And so we were done before midday and enjoyed the whole afternoon at the pool in our hotel.

Yes, we chose a real hotel with a real pool. Damn good. We only left the hotel again for dinner. Now we’re are prepared for one of Southamerica’s highlights: Salar de Uyuni. Wohooo. I’m so looking forward to it.
