#day192 – windy route to Salta

Even though my time in Chile was a bit short, I really enjoyed my stay. The Atacama desert in the end was the highlight. But now it’s time to go back to Argentina on my way up north to Bolivia. I heard a lot of good things about the mountain landscape around Salta and I don’t want to miss it.

The stunning landscape started with the 10 hours bus ride. When I booked my bus ticket last minute, I was surprised that there’s still a seat available in the first row on the upper floor. Best place ever. Well, when it would have been mine. The lady from the bus company screwed me or I was just too stupid. Anyways, I sat in the last row at the corridor. Worst place ever.

But even on the shittiest seat the view was nothing else than amazing. I think it’s one of the best moutain sceneries I have seen so far. Since the border is on an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level, I suffered under ear pressure and headache. But it was worth it.
